Q: Do I need to feed the performers?
A: No.
Q: Our families aren't exactly on the same page, can the entertainment help smooth this over?
A: Yes. Via audience interaction, attention to timing and lightheartedness entertainment has the chance to unite people in celebration and camradarie. We have experienced this many times (including with, we dare say, estranged families) and it is one of the main objectives of Birds of Paradise.
Q: What time do the performers show up?
A: Birds of Paradise performers are dressed and ready at the side of stage 30 minutes prior to "start time".
Q: What color stage skirting should I request?
A: White.
Q: Is there someone I can talk to beforehand to go over details?
A: Yes. A producer is available to meet well in advance as well as during.
Q: Do I need to worry about insurance in relation to the entertainment?
A: No. Birds of Paradise holds a million dollar insurance policy covering all aspects of the performance and on site tech.
Q: How many breaks does Birds of Paradise take?
A: Unless you request otherwise Birds of Paradise does not take breaks.
Q: Why doesn't Birds of Paradise take breaks?
A: In our experience a key element of keeping an audience engaged is maintaining momentum and being aware of transitions throughout an event. Taking breaks doesn't allow this.
Q: We are considering having a "Theme Reception", such as Renaissance, has Birds of Paradise done this type of thing?
A: Yes. In fact Birds of Paradise's parent company is Celebrity Enterprises which has an incredible amount of resources to draw from for themes: literally thousands of costumes, various backdrops and all kinds of characters.
Q: Some of our guests are very sensitive to volume...
A: Only one person runs volume. You.
